Current Projects

By 2050, this tiny country though has not fully risen from the ashes of her violent past, her population is expected to swell up to 94 million people, it's capital city, Kampala is surrounded by strolling slums that are filled with thousands of sexually exploited girls/children, whose cries for help cannot be heard until one gets not just close, but in these slums. When you are in there, you discover that to these kids, it is a daily mental and physical torture that any human being would never want to imagine. Once you realize what is happening to these innocent little ones, you cannot help but stop and think of what to do to help them out of the situation. For that reason, AMOO has embarked on a program we decided to call RREE and because it is going to be an ongoing project, it will be implemented in phases according to the acronym RRED.

Phase one will be To "Rescue", phase two: "Rehabilitate", three will be to "Equip" and the final phase will be "Deploy." The four phases are quite vital but when it comes to the final phase most of Sub-Saharan Africa has no industries to speak of and therefore there are no openings for anyone to utilize his/her skills. We are, therefore going to creatively come up with sustainable projects that can facilitate the gained skills by most of these girls once they graduate from our vocational institutions.

In general, our human transformation programs are centered mostly on young individual or groups. The youth are remarkably imaginative and resilient - but also heartbreakingly fragile and vulnerable. AMOO will work with communities to shelter and nurture children through innovative education, health and nutrition programs. Teaching the next generation and keeping them healthy are essential to tomorrow's strong, vibrant societies. And because most of the youth have been neglected by the public leadership, we find many of them with all sorts fo addictions, yet, treatment and rehabilitation facilities are very scarce in East Africa. For that reason, plans are underway to establish a drug and alcohol treatment center in Uganda and when completed, it will serve the East and Central African region.

Again after the rehabilitation, AMOO will keep arming graduates with skills that will enable to thrive and become respectable members of society.
